SB Live! help guide

SB Live! ´97 © Creative tech is very old so there is many solutions for this sound blaster.

1: Use Windows XP original drivers 5.1.2535.

My favorit solution:
2: Use official Live pack 3 (252) +patch and update to 5.12.1.253

3: Use customize Audigy drivers 5.12.1.383,441,443...1024

Driver installation may be slow ALWAYS wait until drivers restart your system !!!


SOUND PROBLEMS:

Pipe sound effect ?
Run AudioHQ chose EAX control center and SOURCE (set REVERB and CHORUS to 0%).

VIDEO PLAYBACK PROBLEMS:

USE "PCI Latency" patch for VIA chipsets or
Patch for Creative Labs SoundBlaster Live! and Audigy-series on

Redirecting PC Sounds to External Speakers:

It is possible to redirect the sounds that normally come from your computer's speaker to the speakers connected to your audio card.
Once you do this, however, you will not be able to hear POST beeps (computer beeps made during power-on self test).
To redirect your computer's sounds to external speakers

1    Locate and remove the PC Speaker connection from your motherboard.
2    Connect a wire from the +5V DC pin of the motherboard's speaker connector to pin 1 of your card's PC Speaker connector.
3    Connect another wire from the PC Speaker Out pin of the motherboard's speaker connector to pin 2 of your card's PC Speaker connector.
